2008 Tour de France

Ventured to cook myself some lunch today. A nice American grilled cheese, one of three items I know how to cook that does not come from a box, can, or plastic wrapping. Not the prettiest one I've ever made, but not bad.

Woke up with a nasty sore throat, so I ventured back to the Netto and found some Halls cough drops. At first, all I could find was licorice flavored (Gah!), but I managed to search out some orange flavored before checking out.

Today marked the first stage of the 2008 Tour de France, from the town of Brest to Plumelec. I won't ruin it if, by chance, you are wanting to watch, but the tour is skipping the prologue this year. That means that there is no opening time trial. I think the last time they did this was 1967, so it's a bit interesting. I found a place to watch it online, although I wish I could take advantage of my mom's subscription to the Versus channel, which is providing nearly 14 hours of coverage every day during the tour. But it's just not the same without ol' Lance.

Tomorrow, I'll be going into town to one of three museums for a field study on my own. I'll also be working on my three concepts for the design of my chair. We have crits Monday afternoon through Wednesday, and I'm going early Tuesday morning. I'm kind of nervous, but I have a few ideas in the works.
